Richard George Stinnett of Marion County, Arkansas United States was born on March 2, 1869 in Yellville, and died at age 88 years old on October 24, 1957 in Salina, Saline County, KS.
Thomas Stinnett, 73-year-old who worked for the Joplin street department a number of years, up until two years ago, died of heart disease at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, 605 Finn street. He had been ill a week. He was born in Yellville, Ark., and had resided here 25 years.
Surviving are four sons, Russell Stinnett, 513 Pennsylvania avenue; Frank Stinnett, 1106 Valley avenue; Vincill [Vencil] Stinnett of Springfield; Davis [David] Stinnett of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Miss Mabel Stinnett of Joplin; a sister, Mrs Ann Cofer [Coker], 922 North street, and a brother, William Stinnett, of Fort Gibson,Okla.
The Parker-Hunsaker Mortuary received the body.
John Stinnett and his family moved from Webb City, MO to Salina, KS around 1924. His obituary says he was born in Eagle Pass, TX but there are other records that indicate he was born in Arkansas.
He was survived by his widow Elizabeth [Coker] Stinnett and four children - Arthur Stinnett, George Stinnett, Tex Stinnett and Mrs. Walsie Fickes - a brother, Dick Stinnett, and seven grandchildren, all of Salina.
Mary Anna (Stinnett) Coker of Marion County, Arkansas United States was born on June 4, 1865 in Yellville, and died at age 88 years old on April 8, 1954 in Joplin, Jasper County, MO.
Nancy Lee Thursday Jefferson of Marion, Crittenden County, Arkansas United States was born in 1832. She was in a relationship with Benjamin Stinnett, and had children William Stinnett, Mary Anna Stinnett, Richard George Stinnett, Thomas Lee Stinnett, John Stinnett, and Marion Stinnett. Nancy Lee Jefferson died at age 68 years old circa 1900.
