The children of Bennett (Benton) A. Upchurch and Sarah A.C. Lawrence, m. 31 Jan 1858, Chatham County, North Carolina. They settled in Wake County, NC, where the children were born. Thomas B. and Lucy (Louisa) J. stayed in the Raeford, NC, area. William J. settled in Thomasville, GA, and James Curtis Upchurch, settled in Tallahassee, FL. The brothers were in the timbermill business.

Henry is the s/o James Curtis Upchurch & Repsie Rochester Cotten. He is the brother of Cecil Roscoe, Jessie Wake Upchurch Patterson, and Pearl Lounette Upchurch Cox. He d. 24 Jun 1990, and is buried beside his wife Betty, who d. 31 Oct 1995. They are buried in the Old City Cemetery, Tallahassee, Florida, along side his parents, siblings and infant son. This was his senior class photo from Leon HS.

Pearl Lounette Upchurch Cox & Irving Bryan Cox, My great aunt and uncle. Pearl Lounette Upchurch was b. in Cheraw, SC. She m. Irving Bryan Cox, b. Fayetteville, GA, in Cairo, GA, Jul 1921. They had one son, Thomas Curtis Cox. She is the d/o James Curtis Upchurch & Repsie Rochester Cotten.  Pearl d. 10 Mar 1992, and 'I.B.' d. 20 May 1970. They are both buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL.  This picture was taken in Birmingham, where they lived for many years before coming back to Florida.
