Julia A. Ames was born to Benjamin G. Ames and Julia Daniels, and has a sibling Ebenezer Ames. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Julia A. Ames.
Benjamin G. Ames was born in Waterford, CT. He married Julia Daniels and they had 3 sons and 1 daughter. He was a farmer in Hebron CT when he enlisted as a soldier in the United States Civil War. He died January 6, 1863 in New Orleans, LA of typhoid fever. He was buried in Cypress Grove cemetery and later moved to Chalmette National cemetery.
