About me:
[contact link]
I am researching a whole bunch of surnames for both my husband and me, so it's a pretty long list, including:
Hoffmann, Luther, Hurlock, Bergner, Uhler, Fletcher, Cockerham, Hunt, Whatley, McCorkle, Younker, Rudy, Rousey
The photos that I am adding to this site, at least for now, are from my step-grandfather's relatives, whom I have no idea who these McAttee people are, except for the ones with names written on the back, but they still don't mean anything to me. I think they were from PA.

Elizabeth Uhler Bergner
Elizabeth was the daughter of Frederick Uhler and Elizabeth Yeager of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Fred's father, John Martin Uhler, fought in the American Revolutionary War. Elizabeth was born 1829 and died 1 February 1907. After her sister Catharine's death in 1865 Elizabeth married her brother-in-law, George Bergner, a German immigrant who learned the printing trade and eventually became the owner of the Harrisburg Telegraph and several other publications. With her marriage she took over the household of George's three children, and they later had a daughter of their own, Catherine.

Sarah McAtee
The only clue I have regarding Sarah McAtee comes from the name of the Philadelphia studio that took the portrait: The Pinero Studio, 2204 Chestnut St.

Unfortunately, I cannot locate the original of this photo to see where it was taken. It would not have had the names of the individuals anyway.

John McAtee
The only clue about this John McAtee is the name of the photo studio on the back:
MacIntire, 2204 Columbia Ave., Philadelphia, although I do not believe he lived in that area. The rest of the family was from Shamokin Dam? area.

Harry McAtee
I really have no idea about these McAtee photos. My step-grandfather, George C. Herbert of Selinsgrove and Shmokin Dam?, PA had these in his home and we did not find them until after his death.
