They had two children during their marriage. She died on July 22, 2005, in Cedar Park, Texas, at the age of 78, and was buried in Leander, Texas.

Leslie was an outgoing friendly person. When Leslie Dean Simons was born on March 1, 1953, in Georgetown, Texas, his father, J., was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 25. He had one son and 11 daughters. He died on July 31, 2003, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 50, and was buried in Portland, Texas.
