Meredith was baptized at St Matthew Baptist Church 22910 Warren St., in Plaquemine. She was married to Joseph Battieste in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish County, and died at age 69 years old on March 13, 1999 at BatonRouge General medical center 3600 Florida Blvd, in Baton Rouge. Meredith Battieste was buried at Hope Cemetery 5800 Plank Road, in Baton Rouge.
