Anne "Nancy" Marie Catherine Dunn was born to William Henry Dunn (1891 - 1962) and Eleonora "Nora" Ann Broderick (1892 - 1931). She had one brother, Bernard Anthony Dunn (1927 - 1997) and three half-siblings, Irene Catherine Elizabeth, Catherine Marie Elizabeth, and Elizabeth "Billie" Dunn. Anna (Dunn) Cobis' actual birth name was Anna, but later documents were changed to "Anne". She was known to most people as "Nancy". The oldest of 5 living children, Anna's mother died when she was approximately 10 years old. Her father remarried and they had 4 more children, Irene, Bernard, Catherine ("Cathy) and Elizabeth ("Billi"). The 2nd wife died soon after Elizabeth was born. Anne was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served in the United States Navy.
