My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

Barbara Anthony of TX was born circa 1931. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Barbara (Bruflat) Anthony.
When Ted was 12 years old his father took his mother and his sister Coleen up in their private plane for a ride. They landed an then he took Ted up, an something happened to the plane and it crashed at the end of the runway. The day before this mishap Ted had gotten his braces off his teeth and was wearing a retainer. After the crash, Ted had a concussion and his front teeth were still in the retainer on the ground. He spent a week in the hospital and had to wear partial set of teeth. He would go down inthe bsment an glue his planes together. Then after he finished he would Stand on a ladder an light them with a match and watch them catch fire on the way down. This was sort of like what was going on in Europe during this time in History. Growing up he had old cars that always had to be fixed. So he learned to be a mechanic. He bought a 1934 Hudson Convertible. He later sold it to a friend Kelly Hinegarten who finished the car an won many blue ribbons, and on the plaque it said formerly owned by Ted Anthony. When Ted worked at Howell Instruments he worked with a guy named Bobby Starks and would go out on the weekend and ride their dirt bikes. Ted & Linda were active in various organizations Fort Worth Special Education Advisory Committee, Early childhood Presidents, PTA for various schools,. Ted was an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau for several years. They joined the Cowtown Vettes where they served in various committees. There son Chris works for American Airlines and took them to Maui, Hawaii for a vacation one year. They drove around the entire island. At one point the rode became very small an almost too narrow to pass. They had rented a Ford Equinox to use over there. There were signs that toll trucks could not go on the road since it was too narrow. Ted being the adventurous person he was, decided to do it anyway. At time when you came up to another car they were so close you could touch the other cars an trucks. They made it through the road and went by a outdoor Barbecue stand called Hulis Chicken. They roated the chicken cut up in large pieces over a grill that was designed with several tyoes of wood an special leaves. The chicken was out of this world and such a nice way to celebrate after the mountian drive. Ted rode Dirt Bikes for a while, and then they became active in Cowtown Vettes. Ted had a 1992 Split window IN A red Vette, and Linda had a 95 vette in a dark burgundy red vette. both serving office with the organization. Once they traveled up to Tulsa OK to race, but when they started getting onto the track it was raining so hard that alot of them were sliding over the wet track. Ted got into Linda's Vette and drove slowly and finished the course with no problem, Everyone laughed at how slow he wast but when he was the only one to finish the course everyone gave him a loud applause and he recieved a large trophy. Ted remodeled three houses and a grarge. He also walkewd the Cowtown 10K with three of the children . He was always involved with the childrens activities. As he an Linda got older it became increasingly harder to take care of the large house and cook meals. together with Linda. Then we decided maybe we should look for a smaller place to live. We went to program at Ridgmar Place given by a Judge Sharon Wright. We knew her from our Adoption group Adopting Children Together. we all belonged to. We were fed a delicious meal an enjoyed talking with some of the people who lived here. Our daughter found out the possibilities of moving here. Things worked out wn we moved in a couple of weeks before the Covid illness began. We were glad that we did not have to go to the Grocery Store and them Meals were brought directly to our door. We made a lot of friends and enjoyed our life here.
