Thanksgiving Turkey, 1900
A woman sitting on her porch plucking the Thanksgiving turkey while a man looks on. Oh yes, Thanksgiving is women's work!
Look at the pile of feathers at her feet - then look at how much of the turkey she has plucked. This must haven taken hours. And you have to get all the pinfeathers, too. I like today; go to a store, buy a naked turkey, stick in the oven!
