This was taken in New Mexico at the 50th wedding anniversary of Joseph Alansing Browning [son of William Fredrick Browning and Mary Lucas Burke] and Janetta Angelina McCarty [ daughter of Sallie LaFource and Thomas McCarty]
They had 10 children. Della, Diama, Walter Caryton (Bob), George, Jack, Lilian, Todd, Jamettie Belle, Bert and Little Dogie. Bert and Little Dogie were born in New Mexico, the rest in Texas. Little Dogie died before his second birthday and was buried in Cox Canyon, New Mexico.

This is a drawing of Lorenzo Dow Lafferty born 1803 in TN and lived in Arkansas. Was a Rover and led an interesting life. Died about 1877 in Corpis Christi, TX. Son of John Lafferty and Sarah Lindsey. There is a book called "Life and Adventures of L.D. Lafferty" by Abney. This drawing is in the book.

Epigmenio Lujan known as Meno was born in Chihuahua, Mexico about 1857 and died there about 1932. He married Josefa Lucero and they had 11 children. He worked in the silver mines in the area. Became blind about 1910. His sight lasted to see the first 4 chidlren. His wife never remarried she moved with her children to Tijuana, Baja California Mexico about 1942 and lived out her life there. Most of her descendants are in Souther California.

Jamettie Belle Browning born 1882 in Dickenson Co., Texas died 1971 in El Paso, Texas was the daughter of Joseph Alansing Browning and Jeanettie Angelilna McCarty. She married James Annis Lafferty in 1902 and had 11 children born in the Roswell New Mexico area. She lived her last years in Alamogordo, New Mexico where one of her sons owned several drugstores there and was mayor for 2 terms.

She was born 1887 in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua Mexico died 1969 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
