Cumberland Presbyterian Church
Cumberland Presbyterian Church
This is a photo of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church originally built about 1930 or 1931 (I was 3 or 4 years old at the time) by my Grandfather Abey Houston Smith. He lived across the street on the left side at the time. This was a about a year or less before his death, but my Grandmother attended services here until she was in her late 80's (around 1960) having moved around the block to Hangar street, and still walking to the building on Sunday mornings.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Jacob B. Smith
Jacob B. Smith
This is a photo of my gggrandfather, Jacob B. Smith, born April 16, 1825 in Oneida Co., NY. He died March 9, 1886, Oneida Co., NY, and he is buried at Rathburnville Cemetery, near Verona, Oneida Co., NY. His wife's name was Almira (maiden name unknown) and their known children were: Lucius Darling Smith, Nelson, Frances "Frank", Elizabeth and Nathan (he married a woman named Minnie and had at least one child named Jacob.)

Which one is he? I am not really sure about dates.
