Paul Hendee

Born In Rochester, Monroe, New York and lived in Webster, Monroe, New York. Graduated from R.L. Thomas High School in 1967. Was an Eagle Scout and Quartermaster Sea Explorer. Joined the Navy in my senior year of high school. Served in Vietnam during TET '68 and '69 South of DaNang. Worked at Eastman Kodak for 5 years. Married the girl across the street. Still married after 49 years. Graduated from St John Fisher College in 1978. Worked in the Printing & Publishing industry as a developer of electronic processes. Retired in 2010. Volunteered as a Board Member of the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society as Director of Technologies. Resigned from that position after five years of service. My family is, as far back as I can find, from England. There is much discussion in our family of a French connection or possibly Belgium. At any rate we arrived in the American colonies in 1640 with the arrival of Richard Hendee b.abt 1620. He was one of the first proprietors of Norwich, Conn.. The family, as it grew, began to spread Westward. Many family members moved to Rutland, Vermont where many still live today. Others moved into Dutchess County, New York and traveled up the Hudson river to Saratoga, NY and finally, with Zebulon Hendee, his wife Barbery and 10 children, settled in Webster, Monroe County, NY. in 1810. In those days the area was called Penfield, Ontario County, NY. Many of the family continued their pilgrimage Westward into Ohio. But, many stayed in Webster. Our family was one of those who stayed in Webster where I grew up and married the girl across the street. After 50 years of marriage we have retired in Florida, USA with our two children and two grandsons.
