About my family:
My mother was Dominga de la Calzada Ayes Maldonado born in Salinas, Puerto Rico. My father was, John Browne born in Manhattan, New York. His father was, Thomas Fairfield Brown, born Sheepy Parva, Leicester, Leicestershire, England. His wife was, Mary Ellen Tevlin Hallow, born in Kells Ireland. My mother's parents were Feliciano Ayes Ortiz and Juana de la Paz Maldonado also of Salinas, Puerto Rico. Feliciano's parents were Emilio Ayes de Jesus Legrand and Petronilla Ortiz de la Pena de Jesus. Emilio Ayés was one of the people who signed the Ayuntamiento de Salinas on behalf of Industry and arts. He was the principle of Salinas' school.

Harold Salas Ayes, at the age of 17. Harold was killed in the service of his country during WW2.
He was a gunner. A bomb hit his station and he died instantly. (History shared by L. Aguiar).
