I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

Dorothy Mayconich of Aliquippa, Beaver County, PA was born on November 29, 1923, and died at age 76 years old on February 13, 2000.
Anna Almasi of Zelienople, Butler County, PA was born on April 24, 1892, and died at age 91 years old in March 1984.
Alexander S Almasi of Freedom, Beaver County, PA was born on October 23, 1917, and had a brother Zoli T Almasi. Alexander Almasi died at age 88 years old on December 23, 2005.

This is her husband. A wonderful man with a heart that loved his family, loved his granddaughter Raquel and his morals of a man being in Freemason and when they say it makes great men even better men. His heart was so pure. His love was so strong. He friendships with his brothers from organization I have witnessed how they came to the house and I remember the sadness and the crying he did when each one passed. He was the only one left to outlive his friends. I seen the pain and how he spoke about how much he missed them. This is a man with the biggest heart and the sweetest of how caring he truly was. This was the man that raised me as his daughter and I couldn’t have asked for a better man seeing how he lived his life. Miss you pap and gramma. You are both with me always will be.

It was actually one of the hardest times of my life but one of the most blessed at the same time. I worked in the nursing home industry for years and I was not going to throw my gramma in a home. I am truly truly blessed not only to be raised by this amazing woman that not a day goes by I don’t think about her. She was my mother in my eyes. I love how she gave me all the knowledge and love a person could ask for. It’s like she lived for me and I lived for her and I will continue to go on with the Freemason and Eastern Star to carry on for helping others and with community. Gramma I know you will always be with me because I know the secrets now you where teaching me. It is now my turn to shine and know all the levels. Thanks gramma it was tough getting to the top. Now my time to move on with happiness and joy. Remember Disney and anything can be magical and dreams do come true.
