Rosalie Strickland dau of Jean Stricland or (William Strickland and Elizabeth Cambell or Cencer. (She had sister Elizabeth married a George Knott 1822 Opelousus La)
Rosalie married Andre Meche also from the same area...She is reputed to be Choctaw from Mississippi...Must note some people dispute this being Indian...she also had a brother Josua Strickland (d 1847 Dec) unknown if he married or had any living children at the time of his death...
