Fanny Gebrow of Miami, Florida United States. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Fanny Gebrow.

He was born January 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, to proud parents Murray Gebrow of Warsaw, Poland and Fanny (Mannes) Gebrow of New York City. After serving in the United States Army at Fort Knox Army base, he pursued the study of medicine at the University of Kentucky, graduating with a medical degree in 1968 and specializing in Psychiatry. Dr. Gebrow maintained a successful practice in Lexington, Kentucky before relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee where he continued his private practice from 1981 through 2017 in conjunction with many area facilities including Lakeshore Mental Health Institute, Peninsula Behavioral Health, Lighthouse Mental Health Services, Overlook Mental Health Center, Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center, and St Mary’s Medical Center where he presided as chief of Psychiatry. Marty was a lifelong fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and of the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. In his free time, he enjoyed family beach vacations, jaunts to New York City, gourmet cooking, socializing around town, and telling a great (off-color) joke in mixed company.
