!BIRTH (22 Aug 1896, Waterford NY): MARRIAGE (18 Feb 1920 George Washington Chamberlin, Troy NY): DEATH (22 Aug 1972, Mechanicsburg PA): DEATH (obituary provided by Betty Stott - Saturday 1 p.m. - Mrs. Alida S. Chamberlin, age 76, of 405 Orchard Lane, Mechanicsburg, passed away early Thursday morning at Blue Ridge Haven west. Widow of George W., who preceded her in 1963. Survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Douglas Stott, with whom she resided, 1 son, George W. Chamberlin of Naples, Fla., 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers. Funeral Services Saturday 2 p.m. Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main Street, Mechanicsburg. Rev. Duncan K. MacPherson, officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. No viewing. NOTE - Betty Stott reports 1/2/90 Alida Salisbury was born with the middle name Steel, but because she didn't like the initials a**, she changed her middle name to Elaine, so her mother told her.
