2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Cynthia Lee (Easley) Robb
I was born at St. Francis hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. My father, Murry Lee Easley, was in the Navy and was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii at that time. My brother, Kenneth Charles Easley, was also born in Honolulu, Hawaii; but he was born at Tripoli hospial on the Navy Base there. My mother said she was not fond of Tripoli hospital when she gave birth to my brother there. Therefore, I was born off the base at a civilian Catholic hospital. My brother was born 09/02/1956 and I was born 12/08/1957. We were both born in Hawaii before it became the 50th state. This caused a slight problem later in my life; during my second marriage when getting my second husband's, Mohammad Hossain Behmanesh, green card at the immigration office in Houston, Texas. My 3 brothers had all attended parochial school at one time or other. I however never did. I was living in California when I was in Pre-K and Kindergarten. I began 1st grade in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico at the age of 5 yrs old. We moved to the states after my 3rd grade year when my father retired (20 yrs of service) from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer. While living in Puerto Rico me and my 3 brothers were on the AAU swim team there. My brother, Kenneth, and I were also on the diving team there. At the age of 8 years old I was ranked 3rd Best on the Island for the Butterfly stroke. Me and my brothers competed in many swim meets and diving meets. All of us won several medals, ribbons, and trophies. I had also competed in the International Games while living in Puerto Rico. When arriving in the U.S.A. we went to Albuquerque, New Mexico to visit my Aunt Anne and Uncle Bud (Anne & George Beal, my father's sister and brother-in-law). It was snowing during our visit there. That was the first time I had ever seen snow. We headed towards Texas after leaving my Aunt Anne & Uncle Bud's home. We were renting a house in Pasadena, Texas (the house was a bright pink with dark green trim) while our new house was being built in Clear Lake City (Richvale Circle), is on the outskirts of Houston, Texas and next to Nassau Bay, Texas (which is where NASA is located). I began 4th grade in Pasadena, Texas and then after Christmas (our home was finished being built) I was attending 4th grade at the Elementary School in Clear Lake City. I finished 5th grade at Clear Lake Elementery and then went to Webster Junior High School 6th-8th grade. I began my freshman year (9th grade) at Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas. We moved to Mathis, Texas after my freshman year and lived in a house that had been built for a retired priest. The house was built with stones and not bricks. It had crosses made from the stones on the outside of the house. The house was 2 story's and on 5 acres of land and also had what use to be the servants quarters during the time the priest lived there. The bottom floor of the house, as well as the veranda (front porch; it was large) was all tiled in tile that had been imported from Spain. It had wooden venetian blinds throught the whole house. The kitchen had corkscrew paneling. Oringinally the locks on all the doors took a skeleton key. On the bottom floor was the master bedroom & bathroom, kitchen, formal dining room, living room & formal living room. Upstairs were 3 bedrooms (one had a built in desk and another had a huge sliding door storage area as well as a closet), bathroom (had a huge bear claw bathtub), and a sewing room. The entire top story had wooden floors; except the bathroom was tiled. There were lightening rods on the top of the house and there was a large planter out front that originally had a statue of the Virgin Mary. When we moved in there was no longer a statue because of the hurricane, Celia. My mother, Blanche Mary Andrews, was painting ceramics at the time and placed a statue of a naked lady there. On the back of the house was a small glasss insert into the stone that read: Built for Father Puig and it gave the date (which I have forgotten). Servants quarters had a long hallway & 4 rooms in it. I owned a quarter horse, named April, while living there. I attended Odem High School for 10th-12th grade. My 2 brothers, Stephen and Kenneth also attended school here and were on the football team. I was a cheerleader my junior and senior year. I graduated from High School May 1975. I began college at Del Mar College Fall 1975
