Esther Rose (Gavit) Heistand got married to Joseph C Gorman in Ohio United States. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Esther Rosella (Gavit) Heistand.
Although Joe was not my biological grandfather, he was the only grandfather I ever knew. He was loving and loved my grandma with all his being. After the death of my biological (Dewey Theodore Heistand) grandfather in 1948, my grandmother married Joe. My mom said he was always good to her and the rest of siblings. Joe and my grandma Rose moved to St. Louis, MO in 1960 from Ohio. A few months later my parents moved with me to St. Louis where I still live today.
Joe was an avid archer. My mother gave me his archery equipment this past Thursday 2/20/25. I was 10 years old when he died, it was devastating to all of us due to his young age of 42 and the way he died. I could go on forever about Joe. I know my grandmother was never the same and she never dated or remarried.

Joseph Clarence Gorman of N 9th St, in St. Louis, Missouri United States was born on November 19, 1925 in St. Louis. He was married to Esther Rosella (Gavit) Heistand in Ohio, and died at age 42 years old on June 3, 1968 at Old De Paul Hospital 2415 Kingshighway Blvd, in St. Louis, MO. Joseph Gorman was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
