Her final days were spent with her husband and children in a small Nepalis' hamlet, Bhanjang (also known as Bhanjyang or Bhunjung) Basti, via Mahadev tilla, just a few kilometers of Haflong, the district headquarter of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao District), Assam, India

Pitambar Upadhaya was a humorous Nepali/Gorkha Brahmin. He was a central government servant worked on the Railway department, attached to the erstwhile office of the Divisional Engineer, N.F. Railway Haflong. Pitambar Upadhyay's final days were spent with his wife and children, living in a small Nepalis' hamlet, Bhanjang (also known as Bhanjyang or Bhunjung) Basti, via Mahadev tilla, just a few kilometers of Haflong, the district headquarter of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao District), Assam, India.
