Francis Winans, ca. 1870
This photo was taken of Francis Winans, early Texas pioneer, who supplied General Sam Houston during the "runaway scrape" and at the battle of San Jacinto during the Texas revolution against Mexico. His son in law, Jesse Billingley, was one of Houston's Captains st San Jacinto.
