Virgil M Mayhew of 907 7th street, in altavista, campbell County, Virginia us was born on July 8, 1926 in Lynchburg to Robert Motley Mayhew and Lorena (Watlington) Mayhew. He had siblings Edna (Mayhew) Wallace, Shirley (Mayhew) Bailey, and Robert “Bob” Mayhew. Virgil was baptized in 1964 at Prospect Baptist Church in Hurt. He married Delores “Tootie” (Keesee) Mayhew in 1949 in Altavista, Campbell County United States and they later divorced. He had children Virgil Motley Mayhew, Sonja Gail (Mayhew) Shelton, and Jo Ellen (Mayhew) Venckus. Virgil Mayhew died at age 79 years old on February 24, 2006 at Home 907 7th Street, in Altavista, and was buried on February 27, 2006 at Altavista Memorial Park 642 Wards Rd, in Altavista.
