William Gene "Bill" Goates was the son of William Emsey Goates and Francis Elizabeth "Frankie" Ward. He was married to Vera Mae Kendrick on 14 Dec 1945 in Russellville, Pope, Arkansas ( Page 546 ).
Asa E. Goates of California was born on January 10, 1883 in Copeland, Van Buren County, Arkansas USA, and died at age 79 years old on October 24, 1962 in Modesto, Stanislaus County, CA.
Rhoda Jane Pack Goates was the daughter of Anderson A. Pack and Rosalind Parlee Millsaps. She was married to Asa E. "Ace" Goates on February 22, 1903 in Copeland, Van Buren, Arkansas. ( Van Buren Marriage Index "G" Book 8 Page 66 ). They had eight children. Leona Goates Isaac, Ora M. Goates, William Elmer Goates, Everet Goates, Verna Lera "Vernie" Goates Waggoner, Ruth Viva Goates Jennings, Alva Martin "Alvie" Goates, and Ilene Violet Goates Eddings Branson.
Asa E, Goates was born on January 10, 1884 in Copeland, Van Buren County, Arkansas United States. He was married to Rhoda Jane Pack Goates on February 22, 1903, and they were together until Rhoda's death on September 12, 1928. Asa Goates died at age 78 years old on October 24, 1962 in Modesto, Stanislaus County, CA, and was buried on October 27, 1962 at Memorial Dr, in Ceres. Ora Mabel Goates was the daughter of Asa E. "Ace" Goates and Rhoda Jane Pack. She was born on December, 1906 in Copeland, Van Buren,Arkansas and died on September, 1983 in Hughson, Stanislaus, California. She was married to Clyde R. Cox on November 8, 1926 in Roswell, Chaves, New Mexico. Her obituary was listed in The Porterville Evening Recorder of Tulane County, California on December 15, 1983.
They had at least one child. He was Billie Eugene Cox who was born August 4, 1927 in Bosque, Texas.
