Beryl J Gomes
My aunt in her early years at her house in Trindad. She loved dogs and always had many, many of them. She was married to Leonard Gomes a politician from a family of polititians in Trinidad. She was born in St Lucia, moved with her famiy to Trinidad as a young girl. She was an ardent professional seamstress and cake maker. She made the best custard cups for us as kids. She was very beautiful with very long red, brown hair and soft sweet green eyes. She came to the US after her husband died to live with my Dad and our family and her cousin Aunt Fanella in Hazlet, NJ. She was a strict but kind and gentle soul, much loved by all the family.
