My Uncle J.C. Williams was someone who God made so very humbled. As long as I could remember I've never knew him to say no profanity and if he saw something that was out of place such as a female not combing her hair he would let her know in a sweet way but after that he would say a funny joke that wouldn't hurt anyone feelings. He and my father, Eddie Williams, who passed away Sept 13,2010 were so very close you thought that Uncle J. C. was my father's father. Oh my God, one summer they were sitting on the porch having a such a wonderful time talking about their days in Mississippi but when it was time for unc to leave we all had tears in our eyes. The very last memory of my uncle was when he wanted to come up north and see EVERYONE but this particular visit wasn't such a glorious one; this visit to me had more of a distant touch. We felt that something was wrong when he and my dad didn't have that father/son laughter. After a week or two I was seriously making up my mind to quit my job and take this trip to Friarspoint to stay with my uncle but unfortunately I was letting my job know I was leaving to go bury my uncle and you know this was a MUST trip that we all here had to make we didn't care if we had only 50 bucks in our pocket this was my grandmother's very last brother. When we got there well we actually drove right past it and not knowing until my cousin, Leroy Lang, pulled over and said we had to turn around. I had know idea about where I was cuz the last time I was there we was burying an aunt, I want to say grandmother's sister but I'm not very sure, this was around '74/'75 and I remember we stayed the night and uncle JC's daughter (i forgot her name sorry but if you're reading this please contact me to play catch up) did my hair, and the next morning Aunt Dorothy cooked us breakfast. Anyway, I'm happy to know that there's a playground named after him, we had no idea he was a Councilman and a Mason. Til this very day I enjoy the memories of my uncle, R.I.H. with my dad and the gang and give my grandmother, aunts, and cousins all hug and kisses and make sure that uncle Johnny and Uncle Sammie aren't arguing at one another. Love you, your great niece, Neicy
