Gassagne girl?
This was found in my great grandmother's trunk. Is it her as a young girl? She was born in Calif. 1878. Her mother was half Native American and father was French. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks!

The mystery is described above. I would like to know if anyone may recognize this girl or place the approximate date. Any info would be great. Thanks.
Date & Place: in USA

Her eyes are her truth. She was born blind. She adjusted to live quickly for she was unbelievably able to find her way around without help. She let the sounds under her feet be her visions that lead her where she needed to be. Her hands were made of gold for anything she had in her mind that needed be done unable to see didnt stop her. She created the most beautifuliest hand made dolls ever.. She made her own gardens and grew some the most beautifuliest climbing rose bush Trees ever.

People don't realize many and many years ago men had 2 to 3 wives he had children with that lived all under one roof. So when the children grew up they and parents passed away they assumed what picture was there mother to grandmother that has now been so sadly used to misguide family members as the true evil ones steal the legacy of these misguided families by those who researched rich families and used pictures with names of one to another to cause a world of uncertainties as to who was who. The only way anyone will ever know truth is seek out one who is guided by the Lost Spirits so they can be where they belong and that with the right family and not ones who apart there family for they deserve to be remembered for who and what bloodline they were created from.

we didn't know much about my grandmother's side and really would like to know some facts. Foote and Gassagne are the names we are looking into.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
