With observer Lt Martin Sheehan contact air patrol in RE8 plane D4898 on 17 Corps front left aerodrome 17.07hr. Plane reported missing fate unknown 02 Oct 1918. Machine flying time 27 hours. McCaig commissioned (prev SSgt) RAF 09 Sept 1918, 14 Sept posted to No2 Aircraft Supply Depot, embarkation 17 Sept 1918, joined 13 Sqn RAF 18 Sept 1918. Died 01 Oct 1918 First recorded flight 22 Sept (35 mins solo, 50 mins dual) 26 Sept - 60 mins showing Corps area, 100 mins with Sheehan 28 Sept - 2 flights each of 2hr 30 mins with Sheehan 29 Sept - 2 flights 2hr 40 mins and 2hr 30 Sept - new machine 17.30hr - 18.00hr 01 Oct - new machine 09.00hr - 09.30hr

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
