THis is a picture of Catharine (Edinger) & Daniel H. Collins. She was his third wife and they married in Vigo, Knox Indiana on 21 Oct 1852. They later traveled to Kansas where he died in 1883 in Neosho, KS. She then moved to Nebraska and is buried in Lamb Cemetery at Reynold, NE.(She died in 1901)
{This was originally thought to be Arthur Louthan and his second wife Harriet Franklin, but that has been proven not true.}

Daniel Collins / Catherine Edinger . We think that that is who is in this picture but we are not sure..they were married on Oct 21, 1852(in Indiana)..His third marriage and her second possibly, in the 1860 census it lists a Benjamin Edding Edinger living with them that was 14..we do not know if this was her son, brother or nephew. The census say she was born in Ohio and her parents in Pennsylvania Any Info on this would be greatly appreciated..

This picture we believe to be Catherine Edinger and Daniel Collins..but we are not sure. they were both from Ohio and married in Oct 21, 1852.

This picture we believe to be Catherine Edinger and Daniel Collins...but we are not sure.. They were both from Ohio and married in Indiana on Oct 21, 1852. He was married twice before and she possibly once..census says they have a boy living with them named Benjamin Eddings or Edinger..that was 14 in 1860. We don't know if he was her son, brother or nephew. We do not know her parents..only that they were from Pennsylvania..but she was born in Ohio (according to Census)..It is said her she was half Indian (possible Shawnee) according to the area they lived in.. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

This a picture of John Warner Louthan son of Arthur Watson Louthan and Mary Carter Brown.. He was born 30 April 1958 in Douglas Co, Illinois and died 22 Aug 1924 in Thayer Co, Nebraska

This picture is of Mary 'Mollie' Elizabeth Louthan on her wedding day to Alfred Archibald 'Archie' Thomas. They were married in a dual ceremony with her cousin Nettie Louthan and her husband.

This is a sketch of Daniel Collins(b.1816, in Ohio) while he was in the union military..it is said that he reached the rank of Colonel..but have not found proof of this. He married a girl by the name of Mary Wyeth(she died in 1848) & they had a son John W. Collins(1837), He then married a Mary Ann Ash (a Widow with children) on Oct 9,1849, But then married a Catherine Edinger on Oct 21, 1852 and had the rest of his children with her until he died in Neosho Co, Kansas on Aug 2, 1883.

This is a photo of Bertie E. Cedars (Collins)...he went by the Collins last name after his mother died when he was about 5 months old and it listed that his father was already dead..can't find any info on the dad.His mother was Martha Jane Collins who died in Kansas in 1880.
