He and Matilda were married 06 Feb 1853 in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi. They had the following children: George Harrison, James H., Hiliary A., John W., Rizpah Emaline, Thomas and Tennessee (Bettie).

His occupation was a Glass Blower at the Lawrence Glass Works in New Castle, PA. He and Olive had the following children: John Campbell Eperthener, George Washington Eperthener and Harold Aristid Eperthener.
