Arthur Henry Pethybridge Jr.
Arthur Henry Pethybridge Jr was born on May 12, 1925 in Niagara Falls, Niagara, New York, USA to parents Arthur Henry Pethybridge Sr (1905-1961) and Grace Delana Ball (1905-1990). He had a half sister, Dorothy Ella Fisher (1927-1998). He lived most of his life in Niagara Falls, Niagara, New York and was elected as Secretary to Shredded Wheat plant union in 1940. Arthur enlisted into the US Military on August 23, 1943 in Buffalo New York and on February 28, 1947 he married Evelyn R Bender in Niagara Falls, New York, USA. They later separated and he then married Joan Treadwell Cassidy (1925-2019) in 1973 in Mexico. They then divorced April 27, 1990 in Broward, Florida, USA.

He immigrated to the United States and arrived in Portland, Maine in March of 1907. He had siblings Frank Ernest (1895-1965), Ethel Violet (1897-1960), and William Albert Pethybridge (1900-1979). On August 30, 1925 he married Grace Delana Ball (1905-1990) in Niagara Falls, Niagara, Ontario, Canada. They had a son, Arhur Henry Pethybridge Jr (1925-1999). The couple divorced around 1940. Arthur enlisted on March 10, 1943 in Buffalo New York and served in the Army as part of the "1249TH S C S U TRENTON N.J." unit. He was in service from March 10, 1943 until November 6, 1944.
Arthur Edward Pethybridge was born on August 20, 1924 in Leominster, Massachusetts, USA to parents Clarence Edward Pethybridge (1889-1966) and Marion Hortense Firmin (1886-1967). He grew up in Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts with his brother, Donald Firmin Pethybridge (1917-2012). Arthur enlisted on April 8, 1943 in Fort Devens Massachusetts and served four years in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was in service from April 8, 1943 until December. 3, 1945 and was a veteran of World War II. On August 26, 1950 he married Dorothy King (1924-2011) in Cook, Illinois, United States. They had children including John King Pethybridge (1954-2000) and Richard Pethybridge. Arthur worked as a librarian for many years working in libraries in Providence, Rhode Island, Racine, Wisconsin, and working for ten years at the Glastonbury High School. He was also the Director of the Northwestern Connecticut Community College from the founding of the college in 1965 until his retirement in 1987. He played the flute, recorder, violin and guitar as well as sang in his church choir.
