Her mother Mandy was born on May 29, 1855 in Camden, Madison, Mississippi, United States and grew up in Madison, Mississippi. She married Samuel on December 24, 1873 in Camden, MS. The couple later moved to Texas resided in Childress, Texas, USA and Houston, Harris, Texas, USA. She passed away in Houston, TX on January 30, 1940. Her father Samuel was born on August 13, 1854 in Jackson, Rankin, Mississippi, United States and grew up in Tishomingo, Mississippi. He and his wife later moved to Childress, Texas, USA where he worked as a farmer. He passed away on November 9, 1930 in Houston, Texas.
