Catherine Jane (Harris) Devenport 1841 - 1914

Catherine Jane (Harris) Devenport was born in 1841 in Ireland to William Gilbert Harris and Anne Lucinda (Varian) Harris, and had a sister Charlotte Eleanor (Harris) Barrow. She married George Devenport, and they were married until death separated them. She had children George Napier Devenport and Sydney Augustus Devenport. Catherine Devenport died at age 72 years old on July 7, 1914 in Thornbury, Darebin City County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery, Elizabeth St, in Preston.

A., mother of G. N. Devenport, of Auburn, and S. A. Devenport, of Northcote. Aged 72 years. A colonist of 66 years.
