Edith Marie (Aherron) Mathews 1920 - 2015

Edith Marie (Aherron) Mathews was born on July 26, 1920 at Elizabeth City, VA to Thomas Aherron and Willie Mae (Garbee), and had siblings Carlton Thomas Aherron, Louise Arlene (Aherron) Hasty, Violet Elizabeth (Aherron) Drew, Kenneth Eugene Aherron, Reuben Beverley Aherron, Rachel (Aherron) Johnson, and Richard Theodore Aherron. She married Ray Thomas Mathews Sr. on June 11, 1941 in Danville, Virginia United States, and they were married until Ray's death on October 11, 1991 in Pittsylvania County United States. She had children Ray Thomas Mathews Jr., Bruce Lee Mathews, and John David Mathews. Edith Mathews died at age 94 years old on March 20, 2015 in Danville, Pittsylvania County.
