Reuben Aherron was buried on August 19, 2000 at Highland Burial Park N Main St, in Danville.

    "Buck" Aherron DANVILLE, Va. Reuben Beverly "Buck" Aherron, 77, of 727 Melrose Ave. died suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born March 27, 1923, in Danville, he was the son of the late Thomas Aherron and the late Willie Mae Garbee Aherron. He was married to Kathleen Smith Aherron Nov. 20, 1948. She survives. Mr. Aherron lived all of his life in Danville. He was retired from Blackwell Motor Company, where he had worked as a mechanic for a number of years. He was a member of Shermont Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and Deacon. In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include one daughter, Kathy Aherron McDaniel of Danville; one son-in-law, James E. McDaniel of Danville; two brothers Kenneth Aherron of Chesapeake and Ted Aherron of Newport News; and three sisters, Violet A. Drew and Edith A. Matthews, both of Danville and Rachel A. Johnson of Hampton. He was predeceased by one brother, Carlton Aherron; one sister, Louise A. Hasty; and two half-sisters, Ila Miller and Cordie Gosney. A graveside service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday in Highland Burial Park, with the Rev. William Soyars officiating. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday at Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel, and at other times at the residence of his daughter, Kathy McDaniel, 840 Franklin Tpke., Danville.
