He married Teresa Mary (Walsh) Naismith, and had children Edmund Francis Naismith, Clifford John Naismith, Clifford John Naismith, Leo Aubrey Naismith, and Arthur William Naismith. Edmund Naismith died at age 64 years old on July 28, 1944 at Mitchell St, in Maidstone, City of Maribyrnong County.
