She was married to William Brownley Naismith in 1878, and had children Annie Maria (Naismith) Roberts, Edmund James Naismith, William George Naismith, Samuel Naismith, Albert Naismith, Ada (Naismith) Wilde, Amy Eliza Naismith, and Norman Naismith. Lizzie Naismith died at age 51 years old on February 23, 1912 at Cliff St, in South Yarra.
