Grady Tillman Carter Sr. of Pacolet, Spartanburg County, South Carolina United States was born on May 18, 1894 to Judson Churchill Carter. He had a sister Addie Sullivan. He married Martha Elizabeth (Fleenor) Carter in 1913, and they were married until Grady's death on February 7, 1961. Grady Carter had children Doyle E. Carter, Margaret C Cook, Raymond Carter, Grady Tillman Carter, Jr., William Gordon Carter, Donald Jerome Carter, Betty Jean (Carter) Martin, and Joel Dennis Carter.
