People we remember
Biographies are where we share about family & friends to connect with others who remember them.

Claude Konqui:
respect to a very fine and gentle former pen- friend and friend - Radu Culici was my pen friend from Romania when we were around 14 y.o to 28. I met him later at my home in Switzerland as he was already living in the United States. Time passing and personalities changing while both becoming adults, we gradually lost sight of each other and I was very shocked and sad when I learnt he passed away at the early age of 46. Born in 1954, I am by now 70 and never forgot the freedom of thought (very courageous in Ceaucescu's Romania) and the gentleness of Radu. May he rest in peace. With all my respect to his family and relatives.
Pasquale Mele:
School - Daisy was a school mate during the years i attended school in Mt Vernon. Remember one time when we were young, I was being picked on by a bully in the school, for i was small for my age. She jumped in between us, and she was a tall girl and made him back down.
Many years later my cousins visited our church, the two girls had to use a rest room and stopped at a open establishment to use a restroom and happened to run into Daisy, they got to talking and the girls told her they were my cousins and she said to make sure they tell me they were asking about me, and she was wondering what ever happened to me because i left when i was a junior in high school and moved to florida
Susan Fryson:
He was my uncle...Him and his wife (Hilda) were very loving...They took me on vacations every summer when I was a child...these were very special...my uncle had a bird that he loved...I remember when he left cage open and the bird would always sit on his shoulder when he would read the newspaper...I loved them both dearly...they are truly missed...your niece, Susan Emmett💖💖💖

Catherine Mitchell:
My sweet friend - Shanna was funny, and kind. She could be tough but she was also gentle. Shanna was a good friend to me, and since she was a year older than I was, I looked up to her. I miss her dearly, and I swear I still can hear her laugh when I close my eyes and think of her. I remember sharing baby-doll dresses and jeans because those were the style back then but neither of us had much so our wardrobe doubled when we shared! To this day I carry a little guilt with me that I didn't hangout with her that day like she asked (I was upset over something silly as a young girl) because maybe she would not have gone to that house where she was shot and would instead still be here with us. I am so sorry she was taken from this world so young, and in such a tragic way. I hope she knows I still visit her gravesite, and will never forget her as long as I live. I have told my husband and my children about her too, so she can live on even longer in their memories, knowing she was special to me.
Gloria MCGUIGAN:
A childlike sweet soul - I met Martha working at Burdines Distribution Center. We quickly became friends and went through a few crossroads in our respective lives together. I have so many memories of her and her unique sense of humor. She tended to be blunt as a spoon and often would speak her mind. If you wanted an honest opinion of how your hair looked or how an outfit fit on you, ask Martha. She coined words like "amiguites" and La Madam which all her friends including me still use today.
I remember one funny anecdote of when we were working at Burdines together. She had put a candy in her mouth then promptly made a face and spit it out. She turns to me and says, "Este caramelo sabe a mierda. Quieres uno?" That means, This candy tastes like sh**. You want one? I burst out laughing because she was being serious not joking. I answered, "After that eloquent review? No thanks.
I dream of her sometimes and I'd like to believe it's her spirit visiting with me a while. I miss you amiguites. I know you're keeping Jesus laughing with your beautifully innocent and funny antics.
