John WILSON
I have in my possession an old photograph of John WILSON of Shrewsbury, NJ which indicates that he was a member of the Phillips Exeter Academy Class of 1878. John's birthday is indicated as 14 May 1861. The photograph was taken at the Warren's Studio in Boston, MA.

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding John and his family:

John WILSON was born 14 May 1861 in Shrewsbury, NJ to parents Rev. Thaddeus WILSON (1824-1904) and Charlotte or Charlott Ann MILLER (1825-1905). John was one of 6 children born to this couple including James; Samuel; Eliza; Andrew; John; and Edmund WILSON, all born between 1849 and 1863. John married Susan Colston MINOR (1864-1937) in Charlottesville, VA on 22 Nov 1894 and they had 3 children including Susan Colston; Edmond Minor; and Charlotte Miller WILSON, all born between 1895 and 1898.

It appears that John may have been married previously and had three additional children including James; Jiles; and Fannie WILSON born between 1888 and 1893. John died 13 Feb 1899 and is buried in the First Presbyterian Churchyard Cemetery in Shrewsbury, NJ.

I am hoping to return the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
