  • Introduction

    Nancy Going (variant Goyne, Goen), the daughter of Aggy and Moses Sr, married Henrico VA 12 Dec 1797 to Patrick Childress (ca 1772 - ca 1856). Nancy (?Massa - likely a copying error) along with her sisters Mary and Lucy and their nephews, sons of their brother John, inherited his farm in Greene GA upon his death in 1820. The farm had a gristmill and sawmill located on it. Nancy was living in Waynesboro, Augusta VA, when she made application as Patrick's widow for a pension based on his service in the War of 1812.
