Wallace Dubber of Caulfield, City of Glen Eira County, VIC Australia was born in 1875 in Tanjil, Baw Baw Shire County to Emily Varney Dubber and Frederick Charles Dubber. He had siblings Joseph Samuel Dubber, Alfred Dubber, Jessie Esther Dubber, Louisa Parker Dubber, Ethel (Dubber) Davies, Frederick John Dubber, Lydia (Dubber) Ennor, Emily Victoria (Dubber) Hay, and Sarah Clara (Dubber) Prince. He married Minnie Beatrice (Manuel) Dubber in 1900, and had children Minnie Beatrice Dubber, Wallace George M Dubber, and Gladys Myrtle Dubber. Wallace Dubber died at age 80 years old in 1955 in Caulfield, City of Glen Eira County.

In 1875, in the year that Wallace Dubber was born, on March 1st, Congress passed the Civil Rights Act. The Act prohibited racial discrimination in both public accommodations and jury duty. Opposed by the public, the "public accommodations" sections of the Act were overturned by the Supreme Court eight years later.

In 1887, at the age of only 12 years old, Wallace was alive when on January 28th, the largest recorded snowflakes fell in a snowstorm in Fort Keogh, Montana. They were supposed to have been 15 inches wide and 8 inches thick. A rancher in the area said that they were “larger than milk pans”. A Wild West tall tale? Not according to the Guinness World Records book.
