He married Lily Belle (Bischard) Wilson, and had children Albert Charles Wilson, Ronald Arthur Wilson, Jean Isobelle (Wilson) Thornton, Linda Margaret (Wilson) Hunt, Rita Lillian (Wilson) Burgess, Leslie Wilson, and Reginald Wilson. William Wilson died on June 14, 1977, and was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County, VIC.
