1944 North East High School Engineering Drawing Club
The 1944 North East High School Engineering Drawing Club. Above the image it reads: Only organization of its kind in North East High...no dues to pay...successful from the first day...all advanced Mechanical Drawing students...eight of us left...quote Miss Gorndt, "nice little bunch"...daily grab for Weinheimer's French curve...our original half year project, namely the Steam-Turbo-Electric Truck...the success of our farewell dance to the seniors?...the party for Don Locke on his leaving for the army...the cark, ice cream, and pop...our picture taken on Weinheimer's truck...the following elected to do the most work: Russell Taccone, chief engineer; Loreto Ognibene, head designer; Donald Triana, head draftsman; Thomas Weinheimer, secretary-treasurer...our seventy dollar instrument bill...proved obsolete...the great Gray trial...guilty...we hope next year's club does half as well...we end the year with three cheers for Miss Gorndt for her patience with us. - Gerald M. Lewis.
