David Carroll
I have an old studio photograph of David CARROLL which was taken at the Shorey Studio in Lynn, MA in the 1880’s or 1890’s. David appears to be in his 20’s or 30’s at the time it was taken. A note on the back also says, “Mother’s Brother”. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding David and his family:

David F. CARROLL was b. 1865 or 1869 in Ireland to parents John & Hannah CARROLL. David immigrated to the USA in 1874. David married Margaret Catherine MCENROE (1865-1942) on 29 Nov 1893 in Lynn, MA and the couple had four children including Josephine; Francis E.; Marion Julia; and Margaret C. L. CARROLL, all born between 1895 and 1904. David died 18 Mar 1954 in Swampscott, MA and is buried in the Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Rockland, MA.

His last residence was at 70 Puritan Road in Swampscott, MA. He worked for many years as a Shoe Factory Foreman. His obituary lists his surviving family including a son, Frank E. CARROLL of Florida; and three daughters, Mrs. J. Edward DONOVAN of Marblehead, MA; Mrs. Frank H. CHAMBERLAIN of Cambridge, MA; and Mrs. John C. LUNDERGAN of Marblehead, MA; and a sister Mrs. Catherine O’DONNELL of Lynn, MA.

I would love to get this treasure back to a family member and appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
