Dina Michelle Liljequist was born to U.S. marine and retired supervisor from Citation Dennis W. Liljequist (1944-2004) and Patricia Liljequist. Dina's brothers were Staff sgt. James Bailey Liljequist and Sterling Wesley Liljequist. She was married to Samuel J Gesford on January 21, 1984 in Pecos, Boydie J Pate on April 14th 1988 in Angelina, and Curtis A. Shoemake on December 30th 1989 in Brazoria Texas. Dina went missing in 2000, and it wasn't until 18 years later in 2018 that police arrested her ex-husband Curtis on charges of first-degree murder. Her daughter continues to fight for justice for her mother even today. She has a "Justice for Dina Shoemake" page to show your support at

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
