Lisa Marie Presley
Lisa Marie Presley was born to Elvis Aaron Presley (1935 - 1977) and Priscilla Ann Wagner Beaulieu (born 1945). She was an only child. Lisa Presley married musician Danny Robert Keogh (1964 - 2009) on October 3rd, 1988 at the Scientology Church where they met in Sumner County Tennessee. The couple had children Danielle Riley Keough (born 1989) and Benjamin Storm Keough (1992 - 2020), and they later divorced on May 6th 1994 in the Dominican Republic. A few weeks after divorcing Danny Keough, she married the pop star Michael Jackson. Lisa and Michael divorced later in 1996 and there weren't children born to the marriage. In August of 2002, Lisa Presley married actor Nicholas Cage, but Cage filed for divorce the following November. They also didn't have children. Of this marriage, Lisa Marie said that Cage "considered her just another Elvis souvenir." In 2005, she married Michael Lockwood, a guitarist in her band. Her first husband, Danny, was the best man. (It is said that Danny and Lisa Marie remained lifelong friends, despite their divorce.) Michael and Lisa had twin daughters, and they divorced in 2016. Tragedy struck the life of Lisa Marie Presley when her only son, Benjamin Storm Keough, killed himself at her house in Calabasas, California, just outside of Los Angeles. Although she had written and recorded numerous songs in her career, including some recorded as duets with her famous father, Elvis, after the death of her son, she retired from public life. She did appear, however, at the Golden Globe ceremony a few days before her death. It was at this ceremony that actor Austin Butler won the best actor award for playing her father in the movie "Elvis." Lisa Marie was survived by her mother, Priscilla, and her three daughters - her eldest from her marriage to Keough, and the two youngest, from her marriage to Michael Lockwood.

Elvis Aaron Presley
Elvis Aron Presley, known as The King of Rock and Roll, was born to Vernon Elvis Presley (1916 - 1979) and Gladys Love Smith (1912 - 1958). He was their only surviving child. His twin, Jesse Garon Presley, died stillborn 35 minutes before Elvis. Elvis Presley was a United States Army veteran, having been drafted at the peak of his career in 1958 (See Elvis Presley Drafted! for details). While he was stationed in Germany, he met 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu, the stepdaughter of Air Force Officer Paul Beaulieu. Eventually, Priscilla moved in with Elvis and they married. In 1968, Priscilla had Elvis's only child, daughter Lisa Marie Presley. The birth became a media sensation, as was everything that the King of Rock and Roll did. Elvis Presley's musical career was the stuff of legend and too long to discuss in this brief introduction. See Elvis Aaron Presley: Obituary but his downfall was the excess weight he added to his frame and his use of drugs to keep awake and to go to sleep. The abuse of his body eventually led to cardiac arrest in August of 1977. His music, however, lives on and still inspires ardent fans.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
