Leann D Fletcher
Leann Dawn (Misener) Fletcher was born to John R. & Gloria Misener. She was a lifelong resident of Michigan, having lived in Warren, Troy, and Hazel Park. She graduated from Warren High School, worked in sales, and met her future husband Michael Fletcher who was attending Michigan State University at a Halloween party. The couple married on September 18th 1993 (see Fletcher - Misener Wedding Announcement), and she supported them both as Michael "Mick" Fletcher studied law and eventually became a criminal defense attorney. They moved to Hazel Park, a suburb of Detroit, and had a daughter in 1996 where she had plans were to be a stay-at-home mom. Mick began having an affair with Judge Susan Chrzanowski who was recently divorced. The two first met when Fletcher had clerked for her. Mick then filed for divorce from Leann, but they reconciled and they got pregnant a second time. Around this time Mick performed a number of 'nice' gestures showing that he was committed to his marriage. Leann's father said in 2004 that "He was sucking up to her and making her all kinds of promises". On August 16th 1999, Mick put together a 'date night' where he left his three year old daughter Hannah with his in-laws, and took Leann to a shooting range to show her how to use a gun. Shortly after returning home, Mick called 911 pleading for help saying that his pregnant wife accidentally shot herself. Investigators would later discover that the bullet was shot at least one foot away from Leann's head and entered in such a way that it was physically impossible to be self inflicted. They also found evidence of the continued affair between Mick and Judge Chrzanowski. He was convicted of 2nd degree murder and lost an appeal of the verdict in 2004. See Court of Appeals of Michigan for more details.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
