I have in my possession an old photograph of Fred EMIG of Galion, OH which appears to have been taken some time between 1907 and 1915. Fred is pictured in a horse drawn wagon along with his dog and appears to be in his 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Fred and his family:
Frederick “Fred” Raymond “Freddie Ray” EMIG was b. 5 Nov 1887 in Congress, OH to parents Charles M. EMIG (1859-1916) and Alice Jane BECK (1862-1949) who were married on 21 Dec 1880 in Morrow Co., OH. Fred was one of 7 children born to this couple including Laura May; Dora Mary or Myrtle; Roie or Rosie Alma; Margaret “Maggie” Pearl; Fred; Edward Lloyd or Loyd; and Abigail “Abbie” Jane EMIG, all born between 1881 and 1895.
Fred married Dessie C. HEITZMAN (1892-1970) on 4 Jul 1915 in Galion, OH and Fred died 6 Mar 1925 or 1926 in Jefferson Township, Crawford Co., OH and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Galion, OH.
I am hoping to return the photograph to a member of Fred’s family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
