Leonard & Mary Pinna

In the 1930 census, Leonard stated that he was a laborer in plumbing and that he was born in Louisiana (this is an error - he was born in Sicily.) The family was living in a rented home in North East, PA and in the household were Mary, wife, and son, Frankie age 2. He stated that he was 29 when he married and was unable to read or write. The family did not have a radio. In the 1940 census, Leonard, 49, was living with wife Mary, 36, and son Frank, 19, in North East PA. Leonard was born in Italy, Mary in Lousiana, and Frank in PA. No one in the household was working but Leonard stated that he had income from other sources. On his WW2 draft card, filled out in 1942, he said that he was 5 ft 5in tall, weighed 195 lobs, had hazel eyes, black hair, and light brown complexion. He named Frank Conti as the person who would always know where he was.

Mary (Allessie) Pinna of San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA was born on December 5, 1903 in Melville, Louisiana United States to Salvatore Allessie and Josephine (Regie) Allessie. She was in a relationship with Leonard Michael Pinna, and had a child Frank Michael Pinna. Mary Pinna died at age 65 years old in April 1969 in San Jose, California.
