Lillie Langtry - British Singer & Actress
Lillie (or Lily) Langtry (born October 13th, 1853 and died February 12th, 1929) was a popular British stage actress and music hall singer. She was truly a 19th and early 20th century celebrity, having acted in many productions including The Lady of Lyons, As you Like It, She Stoops to Conquer, and many more.
Born Emillie Charlotte Le Breton, this actress' fame brought her multiple relationships with such powerful men as Prince Louis of Battenberg, Albert Edward (the Prince of Wales), and the Earl of Shrewsbury.
Interesting to note: Her close friend, Oscar Wilde, was the one who inspired Lily Langtry to begin performing around 1880.
